What is Ledger Live?
Ledger Live is the official desktop and mobile application by Ledger® for managing crypto assets stored on Ledger® hardware wallets. It provides a unified interface for checking balances, sending and receiving coins, installing apps on your device, and interacting with decentralized applications (dApps) via supported integrations.
Download & Install
Get Ledger Live from the official Ledger® website. The app is available as a Ledger Live Desktop (Windows, macOS, Linux) and a mobile app for iOS and Android. Always verify the domain before downloading to avoid fake installers and phishing.
Ledger Live Login
Ledger Live pairs with your physical Ledger® device for authentication — there is no password-based account hosted by Ledger® for private keys. To “log in” you typically connect your device (USB/Bluetooth for Ledger Nano models) and confirm operations directly on the hardware.
Troubleshooting Common Login & Connection Issues
- Ledger Login not working: confirm your device firmware and Ledger Live are up to date. Reboot your computer and use a different USB port/cable.
- Error connecting Ledger account: disable USB hubs, try another cable, and ensure browser extensions or VPNs aren’t blocking connections.
- Ledger Live App not working: reinstall the app from the official download page; export logs and contact Ledger Help Center if problems persist.
- Unable to Ledger Trezor: Ledger® and Trezor are competing hardware wallets — tools and recovery methods are not interchangeable. Use each manufacturer’s software for their device.
Account Recovery & 2FA
Recovery uses your 24/25/ or 12-word recovery phrase — never share it. Ledger® does not store your seed. There is no conventional 2FA for your seed itself; 2FA might be used on companion services, but wallet operations require your device confirmations. To reset or troubleshoot 2FA for a third-party service, follow that service’s support flow.
Troubleshooting flow
When you see connection errors, follow these steps: (1) try another USB cable/port, (2) restart Ledger Live and your computer or phone, (3) check firmware version on your Ledger® device, (4) disable interfering software like VPNs or privacy extensions, (5) export logs and contact Ledger Help Center if unresolved.
